Measurement Uncertainty Class/Workshop

Measurement Uncertainty Class PictureThis class has been provided by Quametec since 1998, instructed by James D Jenkins, to personnel representing over 800 companies worldwide. Attendees have traveled to Michigan for this class from as far away as Malaysia.

Clients for this class include Accreditation Bodies, various International Government Agencies, US DoD, Aerospace Organizations, National Measurement Institutes, plus hundreds of commercial calibration, testing, and inspection laboratories needing to comply with ISO/IEC17025 or Z540.3 measurement uncertainty analysis requirements.

This course is presented in a manner which is suitable for entry level to senior calibration, testing and inspection technicians; metrologists, engineers, and scientists from any discipline. It is also ideal for technical and quality management personnel involved with measurements in any way. Special focus is given to the ISO/IEC17025 & the Z540.3 laboratory accreditation requirements. Disciplines of measurement addressed are different for each class, as each class is customized to cover the needs of the attendees.

Quametec is the leading provider of commercial uncertainty analysis software tools and training in the America! Our experience allows us to provide both a course "Learning Guarantee" and a software "Satisfaction Guarantee"!

SAVE TIME & MONEY! Get it right the first time with proven experience on your side! The developer/instructor of this course (James D Jenkins) has worked in metrology since 1982, his experience includes over 25 years of metrology management experience.

James professional experience includes working as a hands-on laboratory technician, electronic engineer, metrology engineer, technical and quality manager, accreditation assessor, a recognized trainer of laboratory accreditation assessors, and a consultant to various accreditation bodies and national laboratories on the topic of measurement uncertainty analysis and accreditation issues.

James began his metrology career with training in calibration and metrology while in the US Navy. Since starting Quametec, he has traveled around the world instructing in the practical application of the ISO GUM method and metrology practices for various international organizations and government agencies.

You may have heard the saying; "Join the Navy and see the world". In James' case, that was true but it took a little longer. As he puts it, "I joined the Navy and saw classrooms and laboratories, but the training I received in the Navy led me to eventually start Quametec and then I traveled around the world."

ISO GUM method based…

To ensure international acceptance, this course is based on the "ISO GUM Method". It is designed to directly address the ISO/IEC17025 & Z540.3 measurement uncertainty analysis requirements in a practical, compliant, efficient manner.

This course is ideal for the training of anyone needing to meet the measurement uncertainty analysis and measurement quality management requirements associated with ISO/IEC17025 and Z540.3. Technicians, engineers and scientists, with education levels ranging from high school to doctorates, have attended this class and have recommended it to others.
